ORDER OF EVENTS

Beginner events for 12.5m Freestyle and 12.5m BBB (Backstroke, Breaststroke or Butterfly) are conducted at each club night.  For this event only, swimmers may use swimming aides such as a noodle; fins etc. and/or have a competent swimmer in the water with them.

Order of Events Special Event (100m Events)

                                12.5 Freestyle and BBB

                                25m events

                                  50m events

                               Distance (200m/400m Events)

Each week the special event rotates and the strokes for the 50m events rotate.  50m and 25m events are swum for four out of the four strokes each week.

Freestyle is defined by Swimming NSW rules as being any stroke.  Strokes are defined as Butterfly, Backstroke and Breaststroke.

The Marshall will call events over the loud speaker.  Once called for an event, swimmers are to remain quietly in the marshalling area whilst other events are in progress.

ROSTERS

Each family involved with the Swimming Club is required to help with rosters for various duties.  A roster of Swimming Club families will be available on our first club night. It is estimated that a family will have rostered duties for three in the season. On behalf of the club, we request that a representative attend or organises a suitable replacement for the days they are rostered. The roster will be available for viewing on the swimming club website.

Duties of families rostered for timekeeping include helping with lane ropes before and after Swimming Club and putting out and taking in the timing equipment at the end of the night.  Please ensure that a representative is available to help from 5.45pm on the nights nominated to time keep. The Chief Timekeeper is available to assist anyone who is unsure of what to do.

POINTSCORE

Competition points are awarded to First Claim members of Cowra Stingrays (as defined by Swimming NSW) for club night events as determined by the pre-sets of Meet Manager.
